Bluebell Bulbs (Hyacinthoides non-scripta)

Price range: £19.20 through £6,960.00 inc VAT

These are true UK native bluebell bulbs โ€” Hyacinthoides non-scripta โ€” responsibly lifted under licence from British woodlands and certified as genuine UK native stock. Not the Spanish bluebell (Hyacinthoides hispanica) or a hybrid: these are the real thing, selected and inspected throughout the growing and harvesting process for quality and provenance.

Native bluebells flower from April to June, producing the characteristic drooping, one-sided flower spikes with rich violet-blue petals and a sweet, distinctive scent. They spread slowly by seed and offset, building into dense colonies over time. An established bluebell wood is one of the most celebrated sights in the British spring landscape.

Best suited to dappled or partial shade โ€” beneath deciduous trees, along shaded borders, or at the edge of a woodland garden. They thrive in moist, humus-rich soil and establish most reliably when planted in autumn as fresh bulbs. Avoid full sun and dry, free-draining ground. Plant at 5โ€“8cm depth, 10cm apart, in drifts rather than rows for a natural effect.

Sourced responsibly from UK woodlands. UK native species only โ€” no Spanish or hybrid bluebells.
