Wildflower Seeds
All of our wildflower seed in one place: British native species from our meadows in Devon and Powys and partner farms across the UK, offered in three formats. 80/20 meadow mixes combine 80% fine native grasses with 20% wildflowers for creating a new meadow from bare ground. 100% wildflower mixes are the same habitat selections without grass seed, for over-sowing existing grass or flower-only areas. Single-species seed and a native grass blend let you top up a meadow or build your own mix. Every mix is matched to a soil or setting — chalk, clay, wet, loam, shade, coastal, acidic — so choose the format first, then the ground.

Thirteen habitat selections run across both mix formats: Traditional, General Purpose, Restoration, Chalk & Limestone, Heavy Clay, Wetland & Pond, Loam & Alluvial, Hedgerow & Banks, Woodland & Heavy Shade, Coastal, Acidic Soils, Bee & Butterfly, and Cornfield Annuals. The Setting line on each product tells you the soil or situation it was selected for.
Who buys what
Gardens and small plots usually want a 100% mix or a seed mat; orchards, paddocks, field margins, campsites and equestrian sites sowing fresh ground want 80/20; estates, schools, community groups and habitat-creation or BNG projects often combine formats — an 80/20 base with single species to meet a target list. If you are planning at scale, our large-scale projects guide and BNG page are the right starting points.
Provenance
Our seed is British native, sourced from our own meadows in Devon and Powys and from partner farms across the UK. Read more on Wildflower Seeds by County.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between 80/20 and 100% wildflower seed?
